So, how is a home audio ohm different from a car audio ohm?

Well, in your house, the electron flow is dependent on the phase of the moon, you see, it sets up a current in your walls, and unless you have properly shielded your entire house with lead, and are using pure unobtanium wires, with solid expensivium shielding, it'll just sound like ***... even if you think it sounds good, you just don't know what you're looking for.. ;)

Isnt an ohm a measure of resistance? So wouldnt it make sense that one ohm is the same as any other ohm? I didnt think there WAS a difference..........???

Generally home audio is based on 8ohm (some stuff is 6ohm), while car is based on 4ohm (subs are a different story in CA).

Also FYI its called "impedance" not ohmage (sorry if im sounding anal  )

What would really be funny is to print on some speaker wire "this end up". I'll bet you people would actually try to follow the directions.:D How about really confusing them by printing "this side out".

Just make sure you don't kink your wires. And hold your bare speaker ends up so you don't spill any electrons on the floor.
