Standalone decoders?

Postby jlaine » Sat Apr 13, 2002 2:30 pm

Decently priced ones, that will not murder me, hopefully with optical in also, does anyone know of some that don't run into 4 figures?

I went to a HT site and checked on some used stuff for you. I'll bet that would be your best bet for bargain/performance. Here's one to check out.

I just went to the site and did a search for "decoder" in their for sale section.
"The water is fast, but it ain't deep
I waded out before
I could do it in my sleep
Another line, another fix
Another "I don't care"
The place you thought you'd never be
Guess what, you're there

Sow a thought, reap an action
Sow an action, reap a habit
Sow a habit, reap a destiny"

Come again?

What are you looking to decode?

Tim
It is better to be boldly decisive and be wrong than to agonize at length and be right.

Another question...

When you say standalone, do you mean amp-less? Of do you mean, its sole function in life is to only decode DD/DTS signals to analog outputs?

amp-less preferrably, but I'll go with an 'amped' one if it has the full set of decoded outputs I need...
