15" assassin HT enclosure..

Postby Derek » Mon Sep 04, 2006 4:18 pm

before displacement its around 6.6 cubes...and after it is right at 6.....2 4" aeroports tuning it to 21hz....gonna be downfiring into a baseplate....gonna finish that up today and get her listenable....

(5) 5" braces inside the sucker....the whole interior is coated in resin...i resined the baffle with the ports in it before i put it on because i had to snake the ports through the braces...so i went ahead and filled in the area around the ports with puddles of resin....was kinda fun :) and then after i had the last baffle on, i cut the hole for the sub....laid the box down...turned it 45...mixed resin....and poured it into the seams that were not there until i put the last baffle on....

let it dry...flipped it....did the same to the other one....ended up with some thick resin in the corners :)

You aren't going to tell everyone about the fire you made with too much hardener?

Bring your jigsaw this weekend (if you are still coming) and we'll cut that big arc.

somewhere between 21-22"....

the fiberglass in the port area wasn't curing fast enough for me....so i dripped some hardener on it....

after awhile it start fizzing and smoking....pretty sure if i had dropped anymore on there i would have had a nice little fire going :)
