ht ROOM plans

what shoudl i do for my room at my house for a small surround sound with some boom. i got the surround but for the boom. im keepin itt very low budget. and im not familar at all with ht setups. ported tuned low or sealed. im gonna use a kicker comp 12 oldschool i had layin around in the garage.

thanks for any and all help. btw the room is like 180 sq. ft.

Port it and tune very low (25-28hz) for movies/games. Port it and tune a little higher for music (32-35hz). Never go sealed for a HT setup. What is the rms of the subwoofer?

i'd say like 2.5-3 cubes at 25-28 hz. A larger box size will help keep power requirement down as well, making it cheaper.

the woofer is only 150 wrms~! its a basic sub i had layin around~! thank yall so much for your help~! and is that 70 watt plate amp from daytno at partsexpress enough to make it boom a little considering i have a relatively small room?

Hell yea. Low power, big sound. Bowes always look bigger in the car then in the house.
