yea, I wasn't really surprised to see one of the semi-original A series totally move almost half it's xmax with only 100 watts (at 20hz of course)...

I could'nt even imagine it with their supposedly good power handling of around what was it 1200 watts? but this serves me fine, I only have to go buy a 300 watt amp for my home stereo.

Damn. what better time than now, when Ben is popular with new BS, to start a project including an old ED sub? I mean, I only bought the damn thing because of how much everyone here hates ED.

Don't get me wrong, I hate them too, I've got about 50sqft left of Edead V2 from a 250sqft purchase. Ben claimed it would work GREAT on the CEILING.... that ****er! my ceiling was sagging a week later like an old ball sack... and I had to remove it all and place it on the floor.

ok shaff here's what you do.

make a cube thats just barely big enuf to fit the 12" PVC in it.... so... it'd be something like 14x14x14 i'd guess. Now, take each section of the tube and connect it... seal the seam VERY WELL. so you now have just made a connector to join the to tubes... 1 foot of square shape won't ruin the sound... 1/4wave & TL's are about length, not shape.

you can also make it L shaped if you wanted... or even U shaped to save floor space.

hehe... thanks ryan, but I instead made a perfectly saped U out of a 2foot length of that PVC, I cut all the way around except 1 inch (like a backbone and ribs) every 2 inches along the length, then spread it all apart and put sticks inbetween to keep them apart.

Later I bought a piece of aluminum strip and screwed it together to be sturdy... pics in a minute... now all I gotta do it fiberglass the thing inside and out. easy.

in about an hour I should be able to remove the metal braces that were keeping the rings from comming back together.

Just imagine it, this is the top, it'll be 8.5 ft tall two giant PVCs covered in Shag carpet in my living room... hahaha
