If you are making a 3-way you may find that you want the mid to be of lower impedence. Generally those bigger woofers have lower sensitivity than the mid and tweet, but you'll have to check up on it. I ported the 8's in my 3-ways to 60 hz trying to make them more efficient, but they still barely move even at full power. Kinda disappointed in that because I like me lotsa midbass. Though I imagine the 100 hz crossover on my receiver that I'm stuck having on doesn't help (yeah that's probably the real problem). I need to order some big capacitors.
