College basement setup... Maggies + QSC

Postby ballstothewall » Mon Jul 23, 2007 12:08 am

This is my current setup here in my house in Manhattan (I'm a junior in EE at K-state).

Speakers: Magnepan MGIIB
Amplification: QSC CX 902 for the sub, QSC Powerlight 1.0HV for the Maggies, and an ART SLA-1 just there...
Preamp: Behringer T1953 w/ upgraded tubes
Crossover/EQ: Behringer DCX 2496
DVD/CD/SACD player: Oppo 981-HD
TV: Currently cheapo 27" CRT, will have a ~37" LCD HDTV before the end of the month

In the mail are two Mach 5 Audio MAW 15's for the substage, haven't entirely decided on the configuration that they will be in yet.

Overall I don't think its too shabby for a college house, don't mind the mess currently I just had to re-arrange everything tonight and haven't got it all put back up yet.

On to the pictures.

Of course, since it is a college house, gotta have the wetbar in the basement...

There he goes, one of god's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live... too rare to die.

I have not really decided yet, it all depends on what I find on sale at the right time. I'm trying to keep the price under 1 grand (willing to fluxuate ~200$) with the extended warranty. My options are still very open and I haven't ruled anything out yet. *Also taking recommendations as well*

Thanks for the compliments! Oh and Jager is on the list to get...

I caught the Olevia 337H 37" LCD HD Ready Monitor on sale for a little over $600 from Amazon.com Its just a monitor, but since I am going to use a cable box anyhow not having a tuner is no big deal and saved a couple of hundred bucks. Great picture - as good as my brother's Mitsi that cost 3 times as much.
