I just bought a pair that are in used condition for $2. I'm gonna rebuild them, so I need some new mids. The woofers may be good, but I'm not completely sure on that. The crossover may be an issue as well, but I'll wait for the mids before I do anything else. Either way, they're the best speakers I have now.
Info and specs:
http://www.infinity-classics.de/infinity/models/Reference-x000-series-1988/RS-4000/body_rs_4000.html
1x - EMIT Tweeter
1x - 3.5" (6.5cm) Polypropylene Midrange
1x - 8" (20.3cm) Polypropylene Woofer
I tried looking for a replacement 3.5", but can't really find much. If someone has a good recommendation for the mid, I'd appreciate it.

Surround repair kits are available for both the mids and the woofers.

The tweeters tend to be the hardest to find. Crossovers hold up well generally unless the speakers have been really abused. Good luck!

The foam on the mids is bad, but one of them doesn't even work at all, which is why I just want to replace them, and hopefully not have to cut the enclosure.
I'm not sure what I wanna go with.
Ah! AH! Wait! I just took them apart and the mid was disconnected! Hooked it back up, so I'm good! I may just try that re-foam kit to make them better, but as long as they work as they are, I guess I'm fine. SCWHEEET!!! Nice deal for $2, eh? Everything is good, but the foam on the mids, and some scratches on the cabinets and a broken post on a grill, no biggie. I would've paid ten-times what I did for them. I'm just glad the mid works now.

Eh...sounds like butt. The mids are muddy. I'm either going to have to yank the Epic tweeters for my Pioneer CS-G2000s, or replace the mids. It's that bad, the Pioneers sound better than the Infinity speakers.
Maybe I'll just see what I can get for speakers at employee cost. Or just see if I can finance and get a whole speaker setup.
I guess whatever I go with will be good for my bedroom. I still don't know how the hell the guys talked me into a 7.1 receiver for my bedroom.

Ya, well it's not just that. I get better sound out of the woofers. The mids are almost nonexistent for any sound. I have to stick my ear about an inch away to tell if any sound is coming out of them.
Anyway, I ended up buying a pair of Mirage Omni 350s at work for $200.

It was a good enough deal that I'll put up with them until I can buy some good Klipsch speakers or wait for them to go on sale and make these my surround speakers. It's just for my bedroom anyway.
