I'm not really for or against a generic Car Performance forum on here. I already have a great site for everything to do with my car

Its not so much the streetracing, its the typically bad attitudes that go along with it. The "my car can kick your car's ***" and the "last night I beat Michael Schumacher in an F1 car on highway 1" crap is what gets annoying... and street racing is stupid, if you want to race, go find a track or take racing training.. don't endanger our lives or waste the paramedics time peeling you off the road when they could be helping someone that deserves it, not someone that asked for it. But thats just my opinion

N8, I believe we can keep that kinda elephant walking under control with some simple moderation and the notice that it wouldn't be tolerated right up front. Time slips would be welcome though :) As well as actual racing events and other legal activities.

I'm down with it. I'm not into car mods much right now, but when I get my system fully bought and my Camaro, I'll be looking for advice on a ton of mods on it. I'd much rather take the advice from people here who I know instead of a random message board.

And I do agree about the street racing. It really is somewhat of an idiot "sport" when you put other peoples' lives and property at risk so you can have some fun. Racing is cool, but take it to a race track. I don't care one bit with someone does with their life, but if it affects an innocent bistandard in a bad way, I will be all over you.

Also, even though I know it won't happen, I hope everyone will discourage people throwing poorly tuned fart pipes on their Honda Civics because it's cool or something. I can't stand the cars driving around here cranking out that horrible noise constantly...

Anyway, ya... I'm up for it :D

as has been stated besides street racing being illegal if promoted here then it can give this great place a bad name.

and with human nature if someone pulls your chain at the wrong time are you gonna wait to get to a more appropriate location to take care of it? prolly not. you are gonna want to take care of it right then and right there with no hesitation. whether or not this involves street raceing or whatever it may be. you are highly likely to want to take care of it pronto.

there have been threads in the GCA that have dealt with things of this nature. and well i do not recall one that got out of hand. this is a verry mature bunch. so i am confident that if a performance section was started it would be handled in the same manner as the rest of the place. with maturity.

i love street racing : ), winning the money is fun, but i can talk about it on other forums so I don't need it here.

Anyone need street racing forum links? : )

I'd love to find a place that sells lots of performance parts for MY car... the 3800 V6 is easy to find parts for, but mine is the 3400 V6 engine! Made it harder to find that HO alternator too... which I just ordered today, a 160-amp model with 85-amps idle output. Maybe that'll fix my voltage drop problem (well, when I get my Brahma back). Oh yah, and I could talk about my old 90' CRX -- one of the more ghetto ricers I've come across :D I say that a car forum is a good idea!
