Snow Tires

Postby X-OvrDistortion » Mon Oct 17, 2005 11:40 am

Yes folks. It is getting to be that time of year when us suckers who live in "snowy" regions need to think about snow tires. Me, being a SoCal boy, hate the winter, but I still know that I need snow tires. I have looked high and low. The best price I can find is $750.00 installed. So, if anybody out there knows where I can get a great of even good deal please let me know.

The car is a 2002 Chrysler 300M Special, the tire size is 245/45r18 IIRC.

Thanks y'all.

Jaime.

Haha you are ****ed because of that 18" wheel.

Can you downsize to 17" steel wheel and get a bigger tire? It would certainly be cheaper for the tires.

maybe even get a cheap set of 15" steel wheels. You'd be looking at about $350 for wheels, and tires.

With the price of steel, and the cost of the tire I would be paying about the same. I looked into that option.

18's are a bich.

That is about the price i paid for a set of Michelin Arctic Alpins when i first got my Camaro. Great tires, i have since used Winterforce and Blizzak's the Winterforce were cheaper but they offer a lot better traction than the all season radials, but the Blizzak and the Michelin's are both a good step up..... If you have 18's then you gotta pay!!!

oh yeah get a pair of rims at a junk yard and have a set that you just swap on for winter, it saves a lot of headaches of having to swap back and forth twice a year on the same rims..... and if you go with 15's you will save a lot of $$ on the tires.

I found 16's with tires for 650.
