I would have liked to find some cheep rims, from what i found out most cheep steel rims don't fit properly on the hub, so they rattle.
My nokians were 137.00 cdn each.

I was about to say. It might cost as much as the tires for your 18"s alone, but come next time you have to get snow tires, you'll start saving some dough. The 16's look good?
No. Really.

The 16's might be my only realistic option. I do not have $1000 to spend on tires. I knew we should have gotten her a different car.

Get the 16s, easy choice. Just make sure they clear the brakes and are the correct bolt pattern and offset for the car.

Beings this is an "upscale" automobile, what were the smallest/cheapest rim available stock on these things? Might find some 16/17's w/ hubcaps in the bargain mart. How about asking a rim shop to keep an eye out for you.
No. Really.

Personally, I believe any car that has 18's, should either be run with steelies on it for winter, or get a different car for winter.

Jaime, I got a package from http://www.discounttire.com for about $550 last year. 15 inch steelies and Hankook snow tires mounted and delivered to my door. They won't win you any best of shows, but they get the job done. I was very impressed with the difference snow tires can make (even over all-seasons they seem to be noticably better in snow).

I'd give them a call and tell them you want cheap package for snow tires and they should have a good deal.

I don't know if I can go with anything smaller then a 17". I did find these that might work though.
