Paul Sr./Jr., Boyd, and the whole crew of West Coast ricers can suck a fat ****! :)

Mikey Rulez! :p

*edit* do the filters actually work here...cuz I just swore and it didn't filter!

Boyd Coddington did do a lot of the work on his hot rods in the 80's, now he's just running a business...a very profitable business I must say...heh...got a nice trophy wife too, <img>

I still have no respect for him. I respect the work that he did do...but why pay big bucks for someone to build something for you, and they never touch what you're buying?

I'm even losing respect for Foose (my longtime hero) because he's selling out and doing an Arc Audio line of amps.

You never know, if you look, you'll see that someone DID buy them.

Of course not, the show is painful to see, the owner is a jerk and likes to pretend he rolls. they build high end custom stereos for customers that feature all JL, and a lot of simple boxes. bolts on 10k+ rims, tints, etc, overcharge for the "name"

I'd put some on E's Barbie Jeep, if they were cheaper.

Me: "Watch my girl stop, just watch"
JnEsMomma: "But it doesn't HAVE brakes!"
Me: "Yeah, but it LOOKS like it does"

Yep yep. The troll is just annoying, and wouldn't even have a business if he didn't have someone else backing him. But -- he does sell his brand well, and he's a stickler for making things look right (paint matching, symmetry, those little details).

They do high end? Since when? I know they do a lot of straight replacement, and build almost the same box every time, but I have yet to see them really tackle anything that involves true customizing. They are all about the bang-out job and charging big for it.

If that ain't the truth...although I do admit, they do only buy the top names in accessories. Lorinser kits are expensive, and they mate up perfectly. And their paintwork is done by a professional, so that costs. But...that said, they're expensive no matter how you cut it. Gotta give it to the troll, though, he sells it...

Oh, and those plastic pieces of crap should be outlawed. Barnum was right...

Did anyone see the episode of Unique Whips were they mentioned the head installer was voted as a top 100 installer, by CA&E, IIRC. I don't believe it's a lack of skill, but the fact that the guy works for a man that has a top priority to ship out cars in days. Hard to show one's skills when you work for a man more interested in the bottom line than creating truly "unique" automobiles. Although the guy did bring back the "splatter paint on trim pieces" treatment on a Magnum. Very lame.

On the subject of the covers, I seen in a Jeg's mag the other day a fake nitrous purge kit. It was strictly for the "pfft pfft", not for the engine. Talk about fake!
No. Really.
