New car for me...

Postby WeDgE » Thu Jan 19, 2006 1:44 am

I bought a car a couple of weeks ago as I was getting tired of the 'ol FF Accord...so I decided to step it up with a 1987 Toyota Supra Turbo and plunked $6000 down for this puppy.

I don't have any pics of my own quite yet, but here's a link with some pics and a bunch of stuff done to it (it doesn't have those rims or BOV anymore): http://www.supraclub.ca/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=279

I'll be receiving all the documentation on this car fairly soon, so I'll update this post with anything that was missed in the Supraclub link...although I do believe stiffer valve springs and retainers were added when the head was rebuilt. Will also update with upcoming mods as I'm able to afford them. :)

Oh...this thing is a freakin' blast to drive...it's ridiculous how fun it is... :D

Congrats on the vehicle, looks like the car is already headed in the right direction for you, save you some time/money.

I only see on-topic posts in this thread. On the topic of supra, and the associated currency in which it was procured. No need to be a douchebag about it.

Pretty sure if Guy1 says "i paid X for Y" and guy2 says "X was greater than Y's value" It's on topic.

I see your post, and this one replying to it, as the only off topic posts in the thread.

You guys moved onto the topic of currency...which is seperate from the actual car.

Was not being a "douchebag" about it, just want to keep it on topic...

Back to on-topic:

Should be getting a GReddy electronic boost controller for the car in a few days...there's a guy in town selling one for $250 and it's only been used for 6 months... :D
