I can vouch for the trouble backing up with 20% tint...but that's just a good excuse to buy a backup camera! :D

^^Backing up can be a little tricky, but it's just made me learn to use my mirrors more. Also you can ride the brake just enough to trigger the brake lights to get a bit more light.

Yeah I should have pointed out...3% isn't legal on the rear windows (in my area) but anything darker than 35% (they won't bug you with 20%) on the fronts is...I have 3% all the way around.

This is 3%

This is 7%...no real diff though....you can see a bit easier through it plus the pic was on an overcast day.

you tinted your entire front windshield, too? ANY tint below 6in from the roofline on the windshield is illegal around here... or any other state that i can think of... guess canada has lax tint laws...

i was quoted at 70 bucks for my two front windows in my truck...

The windshield isn't tinted on either cars. Your seeing how dark it is inside the car on a clear day. The laws aren't any more lax. I got a ticket with the tint on the black car being to dark. Being that it saw maybe 2000km per summer...it was an acceptable risk...albeit probably a foolish one :D.

black300zx, in the upper left corner of the hatch window...is that a reflection or am I seeing shrubbery through the window and by the fence there?

--m--, I thought your front window was tinted...and then I read I was just seeing how dark it was inside:D If it can really get that dark in there on a sunny day, I think 3% is enough!! lol, too bad that'll never happen with the legality of it and all. The yellow car (same car isn't it??) seems pretty dark too...but can you see into it if you go like 2' from the window? I know with the tint we have on the Taurus wagon (don't ask, lol) you have to press right against the window to see anything inside unless it's sunny out...that's how dark I'd like mine if i can get away with it.

^^that has to be a reflection of the tree leaves, since there's nothing but scraps of wood over by the fence

I remeber reading this somewhere, but most states, regarding tint on the windshield, go by that little ASM mark seen in the upper corners of the windshield. That is supposed to be some kind of safety standard based on field of vision.
No. Really.

My local guy charged me $150 for the back window on my camaro, $25 for brow, and 40 bucks per front door.....

If you know the back window on the camaro hatch... you know it's HUGE...

My BMW is 5% all around, nothing on windshield... 70% is whats legal here too... But as frequently as the cars are driven I did it darker on the sides, because it REALLY helps in the summer when its 110......
