That's the best way to get better gas mileage, and it doesn't cost a dime:) Last fall I was getting ~18 MPG combined. Winter came, my gas mileage went down. Started driving a little easier, and by the end of the winter I actually got my gas mileage back up to where I was during the summer. Now that it's warming up, my gas mileage has shot up nicely:) I'm getting ~20mpg combined, and can squeeze 300miles out of a tank. Before I was hard pressed to get 250.

How many gallons does you tank hold? Mine is 14-14.25 and I'm gettin about 300 miles per tank (at least until I got this new air intake, have yet to drive a full tank on it...).

My tank holds 19, BUT it hit's empty aroung 13-14gal. I've never put more than 16 gallons in it, and I've driven it for a few day's on "E". Now i get ~300 miles by the time I hit Empty, and it's usually around 14 to fill back up.

wow thats sad lol...5 gallons of unregistered fuel. As far as I know mine isn't like that haha. I guess I'm not as daring as Kramer to find out for sure;)

lol I just realized that my car doesn't even have a gas light! Just the gas gauge...I imagine I could drive it quite a few miles on E but I don't wanna try lol.

Just an update...the CAI did not affect gas mileage AT ALL. I most recently got 21.3 mpg on a tank so it definitely didn't help. But at least it sounds cool:D

And that exhaust is even farther down the road now then it was when this thread started lol.

just today I finally made my low fuel light come on. It took 50miles after hitting E, but it finally came on. It took 17 gallons, so that means I could probably get close to 100 miles after hitting E:cwm21: All this time I thought it was broken

As for the cai not affecting gas mileage, I'm willing to bet you've gassed it a few times just to hear it, so that might have negated any gains you got.

A couple weekends ago I installed a K&N style filter on my car. I'm lucky in the fact that my car's oem setup is a cold air setup. The stock air box sits in front of the radiator right between the headlights. The upper vent in the grill feeds right into it. All there is to replace is the stock airbox with the cone style filter.

Anyway, the filters on the car had 30,000+ miles on them(i've never changed them, and I've put 30k on it), and I gained a solid 1-2mpg from the switch. With my current driving mix, I was getting ~19mph, and now i'm up to 20-21.
