alt problems.....

So i stared at my engine for like 30 minutes....
Looked like the lower pullywas wobbling....couldn't think of why....probably an optical illusion.......
after a while i thought maybe its my alt bearing going out.........from 14.5 to 13.
it was makng an odd sound...and my volts were fluxing after that.......
now all my batts had a good 10+ hours pluss on the charger.......so i wasn't thinking that.........

finally....i thought maybe ....OLD AMP.........been though some changes in the past years.........
maybe it is.........
i unhooked my bank of kinetick 2400s........
and booooooooooooooooooom...........no noise.............no real level flux........

so ...i oringally tried with 3amp trickls on them.........now i'm hitting with 10 amp.....and let it set for a few hours............
MAYBE the overflow will help from the alt dancing up and down.........

Thanks to the both of you for the hints to the problem........maybe this will fix it........HOLLA........

if this dont........i'll reground my bank ground.........and see what happens.,

I really need to go get the right tool so I can idle my truck up. I sit at lights with my foot barely touching the throttle, because I have to get an extra 50 RPM's for my alt to kick on. It was not a problem until hot weather has hit, and now I can't start the truck and let it cool down inside, because the alt really screws with everything BAD when the A/C is on high until I get those extra 50 RPM's

Right tool? Depending on the car, all you need is a scewdriver. You can adjust the throttle position on the intake manifold until you get your extra 50rpm's.

Mine is a torx. I just need a short one in a socket due to clearance issues, but I don't have one. All I have is a set of Torx screwdrivers.

I set mine with a torx after i talked to you...didn't take much....

The bank is too much for this alt....
needs to be reservised.

Its an Iraggi original from about 3 years or more ago...........I won't be sending it back to him...his customer services sucks.......
I'll be sending it to Mr. Rick at HO Alt...

I highly recommend.
