Are those subs DVC? You gonna run them at 2 ohms per sub? Or are they 4ohm SVC that you will run at 2 ohms total. If the amp is stable to 1ohm, I don't see where you would have an issue.

the se is a dvc at 4 ohms and that jbl amp is rated at 424 watts x1 at 4 ohms and 580 watts x 1 at 2 ohms

if they're (2) 4 ohm voice coils each then you can wire to either 1 ohm or 4 ohm total impedence, that amp is not stable at 1 ohm and you'll want more than 424 watts total going to the two of those. If they're (2) 2 ohm voice coils each then that's still less power than I would give to those subs.

I would personally look for an amp that can put out about 1000 - 1200 watts at 1 ohm (if they're dual 4 ohm coils),or 1000 - 1200 watts at 2 ohms (if they're dual 2 ohm coils) so that they're getting about 500 - 600 a piece.

Hifonics are an alright budget amp.

If you want to keep the amp, Get a single SE12 Dual 4 ohm. Then you would be able to wire it to the 2 ohms and get the power you need.

I don't know what your overall goal is (SPL or SQ), but a single 12" ported SE with around 600 watts will have more than enough output for daily listening IMHO. But I am much more concerned with overall sound quality rather than output. If you want to be loud get two SEs and a bigger amp.

Here is a thread from SSA. Someone asked a similar question about Hifonics.

Otherwise I have an amplifier for Sale. Tsunami DB1100D 1100 watts @ 1 ohm. Check it out if you are at all interested.
