Help me to choose...!!!

Postby nikoskostaras » Sat Aug 16, 2008 12:49 pm

2 15" RE SE's sealed or 1 15" RE SX ported or 1 15" RE XXX ported or 1 15" Dragster DWC 258 SPL ported.....

What combination would be the best? I want db's! A lot of them....

What will it be?

Well out of the RE line up the XXX will probably get the loudest, maybe the SX. Depends on how you do the install. No idea about that last speaker. Never heard of it.

What kind of power do you have to work with, and what are your goals besides "dBs" or is that your only all out goal.

Louder choise...?

Postby nikoskostaras » Sun Aug 17, 2008 5:42 am

I have the money to buy 1 of these choises I proposed. The amps are not a problem for me,because I ll buy whats needed. I just want the order from louder to the less one. The choises are,
1 15'' RE XXX ported 3.2 cu.ft
1 15'' RE SX ported 3 cu.ft
2 15'' RE SE's sealed in a 2 cu.ft box for each sub

Can you put in order?

Thanks!

It all depends on your port tuning too. If you tune high it will be louder, but if you tune too high you risk losing the low end. Tune the speakers low and you will have massive low end.

Be more specific on how you want to be loud.

Are you willing to sacrifice sound quality to get loud?

Explanation...

Postby nikoskostaras » Mon Aug 18, 2008 4:16 am

I don't want to lose quality. I listen to almost every kind of music but mostly RnB and Hip Hop music. But my actual problem is not the tuning but which of the 3 options would be louder (take as a fact that if I tune the box I will tune them as the company suggests).
I dont want to loose space or money and proove later that an another option (of those three) would be better. I want to loose money and space but by achieving the most db's!

Well if you have the power, I would do the XXX. If not the SX.

I'd definitely go the XXX route too....
Better SQ then the SX with comparable SPL.
Better SQ then the SE and the "wow factor" that it is only 1 15" instead of your 2 SE15's...
