nedd help

i have a 93 eclipse that i want to put a re mt 15 in off of a planet audio 2250d amp the max size box for the back is 31 wide 21 high 16 deep can anyone help design a port for this box and i want the sub and port up can put two ports if need be i would munch appercaite it

well with those as your external measurements, factoring in the use of 3/4 inch MDF for box construction, using a 6" round port that is 11.75" in length, this will net you a tuning of ~32 Hz.

which you would have plenty of room to fit the port beside the the sub for both to be up facing.

i would like to stay with slot ports if i could because i want to move as munch air asposible mabye even do a hair trick

no i just had better luck out of a slot port and i live in a small town and 6 inch pvc pipe is hard to fined have to drive 2 hours just to get the wood

sonotube is your friend.... stuff comes in sizes ranging from like 4" up to 36". I used a 8" sonotube for the port in my home theater sub that I made a few years back using an 18" sonotube as the box.

partsexpress.com has aero ports. Not sure if they have 6".

But if you still really want a slot port, just make the slot port have the same area that the 6" tube has and you can use the same length for the same tune. I even did the math for you: 28 sq. inches.
