if you can get your mdf baffles back off fairly easily....

i'd suggest soaking them suckers in resin...just in case some water gets on.....i've had a few get ruined...:(

They come off very easily, and I still need to seal up a couple gaps up top. I had my cdt's in identical baffles(minus the 8" hole), for about a year and a half with no signs of water getting on them. Thanks for the suggestion though. If I find myself with some spare resin while I have them off, they'll get a coat. Otherwise I'm not worried.

Oh yea, my passengers side door reminded me of why I came to the conclusion that 3m super 77 sucks hard. Got in my car this morning. The overkill on my drivers door (done with 3m 08088) is stuck tight. Overkill on the passengers door (done with 77 since walmart was out of 08088), is falling off.

played with the eq some more over the past few days. I think I have it nailed down pretty much how I want it. Listened to "one sweet day" by boyz 2 men / mariah carey, and was very pleased with how it sounded. I'll give it another week or so to see if I find any trouble spots, then I'll switch over to pro mode.

On another note, I've got some trouble shooting to do in my trunk. Something in the passengers side of the trunk is buzzing in synch with the bassline. Problem is that it CAN'T be from vibrations. It's audible as low as volume 20(out of 80), and it buzzes with any frequency bassline. The only speakers in my car right now are my horns and midbasses. At volume 20, my door handles don't even vibrate. I can't see it physically being possible for something in the trunk to vibrate from my midbasses.

I think it's your audio gnome. maybe he just bobs his head to the beat no matter the volume and hits it on stuff.

well i found the knome. For some reason, the power antennae time is making a clicking/buzzing noise that goes with the bassline:cwm22:

take a listen - the buzzing/cracking that goes with the beat is the little white box I'm holding. Now to figure out WHY it's doing it.

yea - just looked it up in my service manual, and it's the timer for the antennae motor. I don't have an antennea in right now, so I might just unplug it.

wtf - I spelled it "knome" in my last post
