Of course I've only driven the current WRX, so I don't have a whole lot to base this on, but as far as looks and specs, I'd go with the Evo. I love the agressive front end look of the Evo 8....much improved over the 7 IMO.

mmmm, me likey the new VIII looks... if performance/pricing were similar, i'd have to head in that direction... (assuming I decided i could put up w/ the turbos ;) [on either car] )

as already stated... driving time is a must for this decision. but since i havent driven either i would say im not biased to much... statistically i'd have to say.......

EVO EVO EVO EVO EVO... forget the WRX unless you feel like dumping lots of money into. The EVO will need some work too but i think its just so much better built.

IMO The EVO is just flat out better. latas

Good call, good call ..... This reminds me of one of the best test drives I ever took. 97 3000GT VR-4, nice twisty roads .... very fast, very fun, the entire time the sales person telling me "do what you need to do to make sure this car is everything you want".... and boy did I ever .... Im surprised he didnt crap himself.. :p

Yeah, good point here too. I assumed it was STi vs Evo. Just wouldn't be fair otherwise :cwm1:

When it came down here, the snow level was higher than your talon's bumper would be...

AWD won't get you anywhere in that... 4wd with ground clearance will barely get you to work... and that is if anyone else is even there... :)

I went through snow higher than the bumper quite a few times it just took a little backing up first to get a little run, and it didn't usually take much.
You just don't understand what it is capable of going through... i beat the hell out of that thing, and went a lot of places i shouldn't, and got through most of them... Once i went through snow mid bumper and if it hadn't been the wet sticky kind i would have gone farther than i did, i got 2/3 of the way out the drive way (about 300 feet). It was an impressive car.
