I'm trying to find an inexpensive way of making some pretty high quality component video cables. I found some nice compression terminals and coax cable at parts express, but the crimper is expensive. I don't want to spend a fortune (cuz I don't have a fortune to spend), but I need to get/make some cables for use in HT.
I found some really inexpensive cables on eBay with decent (in appearance) wire and connectors. I hate crappy plastic connectors, but the ones I found looked to be quality metal units.
Any input on what wire/connectors and where to get them?

I can get RG-6 in bulk from work (in my work van actually) and I just have to bring it home.
Have you ever run across these TL?

They look to be high quality and pretty inexpensive, but I can't see the center pin. Maybe I'll give them a shot...just need the uber-expensive crimp tool.

definately nice looking..
I own the T&B tool, but the RCA plugs are butt-ugly. The T&B tool won't do other brands, it's more or a collar setup for crimping instead of pinching the whole connector...
I borrowed the AIM tool & did some of their RCAs - didn't like them at all.
If you do try those let me know if you like them..

I'm suddenly not so sure about all this...I can pay $1.50/end so $9/set of ends (x 4 sets), and $51 for a tool. This doesn't include shipping, or the fact I have to get a hold of wire.

I know there's incredible margin on video accessories, but I am wondering if these cables are genuine. Either way, that will likely be the direction I go.
