Hi, this is my first time i own a XXX. it's the 12" old version XXX. I need to build an enclosure for this sub, dont know if it's better to use a aeroport or a port.
Can anyone help me? First of all i can't find anywhere the specs, second i need a box not for SPL purposes but for big and deep bass!
My trunk can fit big boxes but i hope i wont need such a big enclosure. I hope around 2.5 cuft. Thanks to anyone.

an aeroport is a type of port. Whether you use regular PVC, an aeroport, or a slot port is up to you.
I'd make the box about as big as you can make it in the space you've allotted, tuned to 30-32 hz or so. 2.5 cube before displacement should yield you about 2.0 after port and sub displacement.

For 2 cubes after all displacements, tuned to 32 hz, build using the dimensions you gave. That is actually only a 2.92 cube box because you didn't take out the wood when you figured your volume. Then make the opening to the slot port 12.5" tall (the height of the inside of your box) and 2.25" wide. Then make it 32" long.
It will have to be an L-shaped port. So make your first port board 14.25" long to go towards the back of the box, then the second piece 15" long to run along 2.25" from the back wall.

Please multiply all numbers by 25.4 for mm measurements.
and whoops, I didn't realize you said internal measures when you gave those dimensions. Oh well, this box works. Just make them your outer dimensions, ha.
