There he goes, one of god's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live... too rare to die.

I can never say enough how good all the XBL2 drivers I have sound. I still have XXX18s in my living room and my wife has a first gen Koda 10 in her Jetta. I think I have used just about every Adire XBL2 driver at one time or another, and a few from RE.
I think sometimes the sound that people describe as a bad thing with an XBL2 driver is just the lack of distortion they are used to hearing.

Great input everybody. Thanks.
Now I need some suggestions on my amp rack. To save space I was thinking of stacking them above my wheel. But peering eyes area concern. I won't have to worry about the back side of the rack because it won't go above the window line, the top will be covered with another piece of wood, and I don't think I'll have to worry about the one side that'll be against the back of the back seats. But the front and side facing the back of the cargo area will be open. I don't really want to just enclose it because of heat issues. I'm planning on painting it all black (even though my interior is gray, looking through the dark tinted windows it all just looks dark color). Maybe just a thin black cloth tacked over those two sides? Heat should be able to pass through that decently enough.
Right now my amps are side-by-side on the back side of my sub boxed, literally sandwiched between it and the back seat. I've put a blanket over the box and then draped it over the back seat so that prying eyes couldn't see my box or amps, just the big shape. But my amps do surprisingly well in this fairly enclosed area, I've never had one shut off. So maybe they'll be ok in my design. But then again, having them vertical side-by-side vs. having them stacked on top of each other are two very different scenarios. I guess we'll just see how it goes.

yeah. Although this summer was very, very mild. I think we only hit 100 maybe 2-3 times, and it usually gets there probably 15. most of the time it's been 80's. Incredible summer.
I have some pretty dark tint on, I think 15%. Always could go darker, sure, but I don't want to go all black because I like my windows to all match as much as possible, and can't go too dark on the front ones. And I think having all black draws more attention.
