Hello everybody. What does it mean for a speaker to have an Fs=37,8 Hz? I usually see Fs's like 20-32Hz. Is it good? I am beetween RE SX 15 1000WRms and the Ground Zero Nuclear GZNW 15 (that has an FS=37.8 Hz). The WinISD shows that the GZNW will go louder than the SX if both put in the same box and tuned the same. Im just worrying a bit about the Fs thing. What should I do? What to choose?
I need enlightment......

A driver tends to take a dump in total efficiency below Fs...
But should be louder than the lower Fs driver above that point.

both will be loud.... too hard to say which will be louder... "take a dump" means go downhill really fast. But you want to get loud... and honestly... you get loud at 40-50hz... not at 30hz.. so don't worry about FS.... FS is more for sq people than street beating anyways.

Thanx man! Now I am taking a full picture. So I now stay still with the question!!! Ground Zero GZNW 15'' OR RE Audio SX 15''. The one very good with the GZNW is that it has more RMS power and excursion and it can work its best with a smaller ported box (2.45cu.ft.). What to choose.....?

Thanx man. I'm starting to have a better picture now. Bust I still have a choise to make. Ground Zero GZNW 15'' or RE Audio SX 15''. The good about the GZNW is that its optimum function will be in a 2,45cu.ft. box (SX needs at least 3cu.ft. and I want to save space) and it has more RMS power and more excursion. So, still....what to choose...?

Don't forget that a higher Fs doesn't mean more efficiency, alot of times with car audio drivers, the opposite is true. A good example is when people add spiders to a driver to decrease compliance, this will mostly result in a drop in overall efficency (Vas goes down when this is done and Vas and efficiency are very proportional) and the Fs goes up.....
RMS power handling is just about worthless for any type of comparison whatsover and should really never been taken into consideration. If the drivers have similar size/length Voice Coils, they more than likely will have similar power handling, additionally RMS power is completly irrelevant to output...
