i have a 93 eclipse that i want to put a re mt 15 in off of a planet audio 2250d amp the max size box for the back is 31 wide 21 high 16 deep can anyone help design a port for this box and i want the sub and port up can put two ports if need be i would munch appercaite it

well with those as your external measurements, factoring in the use of 3/4 inch MDF for box construction, using a 6" round port that is 11.75" in length, this will net you a tuning of ~32 Hz.
which you would have plenty of room to fit the port beside the the sub for both to be up facing.

sonotube is your friend.... stuff comes in sizes ranging from like 4" up to 36". I used a 8" sonotube for the port in my home theater sub that I made a few years back using an 18" sonotube as the box.

But if you still really want a slot port, just make the slot port have the same area that the 6" tube has and you can use the same length for the same tune. I even did the math for you: 28 sq. inches.
